InHerShoes recognizes it can take courage to be well.

InHerShoes is proud to be an official StigmaFree organization in partnership with NAMI. We have pledged to continue to catalyze a company with a culture of openness, acceptance, and understanding about our organization’s overall health and well-being. Taking a step further, we are committed in philosophy and action to extend this pledge beyond the InHerShoes organizational culture to all our InHerShoes community members, volunteers, partners, collaborators, and allies in social change. One act of courage at a time.

We recognize being a StigmaFree Company is a company-driven initiative, unique to each organization and company. For our corporate and organizational partners in our community and beyond, we challenge you to do the same by courageously fostering these tenants toward a StigmaFree world in your own organizations:

  • Create company policies regarding mental health

  • Show support to employees by being proactive in approaching coworkers who may be struggling and be understanding if someone needs accommodations or time off work

  • Provide management training around effective communication around mental health and its intersection with performance

  • Decrease stigma in the workplace through language, support, and resources
