CATALYST SHOOT: JANICE KIM
So, for those of us not lucky enough to have met you yet, tell us a little about yourself.
In a nutshell, I'm all about bringing different communities together whether it be through creating online communities or hosting experiences. Why? I believe in the importance of creating meaningful connections to create transformative change. Also, I'm all about trying new things and having fun. Life is too short to not have fun along the way.
The Catalyst Shoot was a unique experience where we highlighted incredible women and an object that reflected how they #CatalyzeCourage. What was your object and why?
My object was a 3 foot wide, yellow circle to represent Yellow Traces. Yellow Traces started off as a personal blog that grew into its own company and it represents hope - yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel! Starting something of your own can be overwhelming and nerve-racking, but after a lot of challenges and still facing new ones, I know I have to keep pushing.
What does “catalyze courage” mean to you?
It means to confront my biggest road blocker, which is myself.
